Rest Easy, Alesha!

Alesha was handed over the fence at our mission 3 years ago. She was 16 years old then. Her owner was moving and unfortunately could not take her. This old soul was with us for almost a year until adopted (17 years old) & was able to have that 2nd chance at furever. Alesha passed away this morning at 19 years old. We chose to celebrate her life and, although we are sad, it is truly amazing that she had the best ending ever! Rene & Jon have adopted multiple seniors & they make every moment count! Jon saw Alesha and fell in love! It didn’t matter her age or that she was grumpy, he loved her and giving her the best life ever is what they have done!

“Dogs die. But dogs live, too. Right up until they die, they live. They live brave, beautiful lives. They protect their families. And love us. And make our lives a little brighter. And they don’t waste time being afraid of tomorrow.” – #resteasy #unconditionallove #rainbowbridge #untilwemeetagain #seniordogsofinstagram #truefaithfulpetrescuemission
