Pet ownership is a serious responsibility.  The policy of this rescue organization is to ensure that each person who adopts a pet is aware of the responsibility and is capable and willing to accept that responsibility morally, physically and financially.

By meeting these requirements, we can ensure our senior dogs will not return to a similar situation.

Adoption Process
Set Realistic Expectations

When applying to adopt a senior dog, it's important to have realistic expectations about the process. Please keep the following points in mind:

Application

All applications are processed by a single individual on a first-come, first-served basis.

No Guarantee

Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be matched with a dog; popular dogs may receive hundreds of applications.

Communication

Any applicants who waste time or use abusive language will be immediately blocked from the process.

Transport

Transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the adopter.

NO GUARANTEE

We want to clarify, being "approved" means you are eligible to adopt a senior dog in need, NOT for a specific dog.

We do not guarantee temperament, house training, or the length of time a dog may have left.

We are not “matchmakers” and cannot accommodate specific requests regarding breed features, temperament, actions, colors, or gender.

We receive hundreds of applications and simply do not have the time for such requests.
