At 13 years old, Winny was abandoned at a shelter alongside her best friend, Yorky. The two senior girls were brought in together in a TJ Maxx shopping bag, scared, confused, and completely dependent on each other.
When we learned about their situation, we knew we couldn't leave them behind.
Winny needed extensive medical care, including surgery for her grade 4 luxating patellas, a major dental with dental X-rays, vaccinations, and additional medical treatment. Her care was extensive, but it gave her the chance to finally be comfortable and begin healing.
Today, Winny is safe at our sanctuary with Yorky by her side. She is still recovering and isn't fully walking yet, but she is surrounded by soft beds, warm blankets, good food, and people who will never abandon her again.
Winny and Yorky have been through so much together, and we are committed to giving them the time, patience, and love they need to enjoy their golden years💗
